The right upper lobe (RUL) is one of the three lobes of the right lung,
situated in the upper part of the chest cavity, extending from the
apex of the lung down to the horizontal fissure that separates it from
the middle lobe. The RUL is anatomically divided into three
bronchopulmonary segments: the apical, posterior, and anterior
segments.The RUL is often involved in conditions like pneumonia,
tuberculosis, and lung cancer, partly due to its position and airflow
dynamics
