Organs of the Body
The organs of the body, bond in structure and function to create a single entity – the body
The brain is the central controlling and integrating organ of the body and it is linked to the organs via nerves. Blood vessels, ducts and hormones also serve to connect the organs

In all of LIFE, and in this instance of medical art, when  compatible PARTS  are optimally POSITIONED, they  can CONNECT, BOND and FUNCTION together as an art piece.   As a consequence, there is a surprising and sometimes miraculous result limited only by TIME.This is the beginning and the end of the story of The Common Vein and its application to medical art.

When the PARTS of the body BOND
There is a surprising and miraculous result!!

A picture speaks a thousand words……

but in order for one to be able to read the words one has to have knowledge    (AD)

ADRENAL GLANDS

Kidneys, Calyces, Ureters and Golden Adrenals
THE KIDNEYS WITH THEIR GOLDEN ADRENALS serve to preserve our precious water. The kidneys face each other (eye to eye) in the body as trusting life long partners. When the going gets tough for the one, the other is there to fill the void. How much more can one ask of a life long partner?

Some of us learn through the written word… some of us learn through pictures.

Art in medicine explores the beauty of form and function and hopes to use art and images to help educate in a slightly different way ….

ANIMALS IN THE BODY

The brain, even from the outside looks complex, despite the artistic attempt to create a homogeneous organ. It has been a challenge and will continue to be a challenge for scholars and the lay public alike for years to come. This is a diagram looking at the forebrain from the side showing the anteriorly placed frontal lobe (orange), separated from the inferiorly placed temporal lobe by the Sylvian fissure (purple), and separated from the parietal lobe by the central sulcus (orange). The parietal lobe is also separated from the temporal lobe by the Sylvian fissure and from the occipital lobe by the parieto-occipital fissure (light blue). This artistic rendition of the heart and lungs uses the shape of fruit and vegetables to create an image of the chest. The lungs are made of grapes, the pulmonary arteries are made of carrots, the ribs are made of banana peel and the heat is made of a red pepper.

There are 4 basic groups of lymph nodes the largest of which are the axillary group (1) which account for 75% of the lymphatic drainage. The other groups are the infraclavicular (2), supraclavicular (3), and parasternal (4) groups of nodes. Davidoff MD. 78378pb06l05

The collage of X-rays, MRI and CT scans shows the bonding of the parts to make the whole person who seeks wholeness. Her yearning for wholeness is a life time endeavour and here she is shown pregnant - one of the paths to her wholeness.
