Parallels with Human Endeavors:

Social and Societal Equivalents:

The respiratory zone is akin to a final marketplace where the exchange of goods (oxygen and carbon dioxide) occurs efficiently, ensuring the sustenance of all other systems. Like the respiratory zone, any human system thrives on well-maintained and seamless exchanges, whether in economics, communication, or relationships.

The air space acts as a mediator between external oxygen and internal processes  eg Engine of the Car
Import Process Export
Gas Engine Function Exhaust Fumes

The Car as a Functional Unit
All functional units receive process and export with by products of the function The car needs to receive gas which it processes to allow the engine to run which it transfers to the wheels for movement and the by product is exhausted . This is similar to the air space which normally receives oxygen transports it to the airways who process it and transfers the oxygen into the blood and takes in the products of metabolism to exhaust it back to the air via the airways

Highway to the City in Health
Parallel = Bronchioles Alveolar Ducts or Alveoli

The City as a Functional Unit
All functional units receive process and export or incorporate the product to larger community The city needs to receive a variety of raw materials  which it processes and creates products which  allow the city to be viable.    The equivalent of the bronchioles are the highways leading to the city. These “highways then divide and branch to facilitate the transport of the products to the user, to the shops and factories.  The  equivalent in this discussion are the alveoli,  In health there is order and disease disorder of this process

Highway to the City in Disorder
On the City Roads or Factories

Parallel = Bronchioles Alveolar Ducts or Alveoli

The City in Trouble
The image shows the city in disorder with congested roads and homes factories and shops destroyed.  This parallels disease in the respiratory, alveolar ducts  and alveoli.

The Factory in Order   = The Alveolus In Order

The City as a Functional Unit
All functional units receive process and export or incorporate the product to larger community The city needs to receive a variety of raw products which it processes to allow the city to be viable which it transfers to the community. The equivalent of the alveoli are the factories  In this image all is well healthy and in order

The Factory in Disorder  = The Alveolus In Disorder and Disarray

The City as a Functional Unit in Complete Disorder and Ill Health
This image shows the factory/alveolus in complete disarray such as occurs in disease .
