Well we did it. What a night.! The Aussies were 22 strong in all?

Highlights?.

a call from Lev at 5am his time and we could all hear him?.

a call from Ash..who could also be heard around the room..and where all the girls were yelling that they are in love with him?and he responded by saying something like ?where were you all when I could do something about it?

a message from Phil at 4am his time

a very funny verbal autobiographical sketch by Terry?who surprised everyone by his presence (i was told before hand that he was coming?somehow knew he would) ? I hope to see him again tomorrow

an appearance on screen by Mich who looked exactly as I remember her 35 years
ago??..

lots of footage of Eric but unfortunately we could not hear what he was saying?.

It was good for me to see and chat briefly with Cynthia Fogel on line. I am glad she went. She didnt go to the High School, her name ended up on the list due to an error by me?but Eric insisted that she come and I look forward to her report.

We had good food and drink?and lots of laughs. We each gave a short bio of ourselves (Ronni?s suggestion), and generally reminisced and chatted in small groups. A couple of people changed seats in order to see as many people as possible. Janice is as you expect from her FB posts?funny and larger than life. Max Hopp and Errol discovered a mutual passion for cycling and are meeting in a few hours time at Centennial Park for a bike ride at 7am?they would have got home by 1:30am?. The Lippa twins reminded me of why I always thought they were very funny guys?I sat opposite Hazel whom I have not seen since the last reunion and we had a good chat?she has the youngest child in the group perhaps?14.. a touching little reminiscence by Felicity Bak (visiting from Israel ? great to see her) of Leora Friedstein, the hostel crowd (Bobby, Willy, Alan Crown, Manfred Levy) sat near each other as they would have in the old days?nice to see the Sydney North Shore group of Hilton, Jeff, Trevor whom I never run into?Illona attended at the last minute?bravely because she was packing up house today?but she was there? Glenda Peskin was another near miss but made it in the end and had a great time?a call by Harold Jankelowitz for us not to wait 40 years?or even 10 but to have something each year where we can get together?. I sat next to Harold who lives about 3km from me and I last saw him at the 2007 reunion. We resolved to fix that?.Arlene Tanchum and Max talked physio/physician shop?Arlene is another I hardly see though live near?. Milton Levine who said he sat behind Hazel at school and watched her grow up?she blushed and giggled the way I remembered she used to? .

I gave a lift home to Ronni, Errol and Glenda and we all agreed it was a memorable night.

I trust that you guys in SA had a ball. It looked good. The pool looks different. Some of us could not remember the grassy area you were on?I imagine that was beyond the deep end?North end ? nor that fence on what would be the west side?but then it has been 40 years.

Eric and Mich?how were the bongos?what was Steve, Clive, Eric saying?we had no audio for that? let us have the details?.

Thanks to all of you who put this together ?
We had a great time in Sydney.

We went around the room & each person told a brief version of their story (some more brief than others)!!

I took video of all ? haven?t yet had a chance to see how it came out. I can get this over to you guys somehow & perhaps it can be included in the DVD?
