Career
After stints as an advertising co-ordinator at Peugeot, Cinemark sales executive and media planner at Grey-Phillips, Bunton, Mundel & Blake, I found my niche as an advertising copywriter. Created campaigns at a number of South African ad agencies, including Lindsay Smithers-FCB, Grey and JWT. After moving to Canada in 1987, I resumed my writing career, working both full time and freelance. Nearly 15 years ago, I joined the Toronto office of Leo Burnett Worldwide, where I remain a Senior Writer in their Arc direct and digital division.
Interests
Lifelong interest in aviation and aerospace (not a pilot, but observer and collector of airline postcards, memorabilia, books, etc.).
Travel.
Walking and exploring Toronto?s neighbourhoods.
?Advertising has been a great career for me. Worked on so many interesting products, brands and services and challenges. I am sure Terry will say the same thing. (I must get in touch with Terry) I have been lucky to have had the opportunities to keep up with the changing media landscape ? now spend most of my time writing for websites and online ads. There are agencies out of Boston ? just the largest ones are out of NY, Chicago or the West Coast.
My company, Leo Burnett Wordwide, is HQed in Chicago.?
