Well done Sammy, Hilton, Jeff, Terry and all the Ozzies ? it sounds like you had an awesome time.

Ours was great ? lots of reconnections round the tables, excellent braai, 60?s music in the background, Steve?s bongo session and trying to connect with you guys.

Pity you didn?t pick up all the video and audio ? maybe it might come thru on the DVD. Steve was nonspeaking anyway ? we just bongoed along with him mime-conducting us. A few guys told their stories like Clive, Russel and Stan. Stan did the welcome, thanked Ronel for her efforts in organising the reunion and gave her a presentation. Elliot and Sheryl Benjamin said a fews words of encouragement.

I was talking about you guys meeting all over the planet and how we have filled a gap in our lives through the reunion. Hope you noticed my Primary school cap!

Sammy James seemed in his element ? trust it was worth the trip from Oakland California. Selwyn Feldman and Michael Mark and his wife Glenda came in from Cape Town.

Thanks so much Gary, Lev, Ash and Aubrey for your calls. The guys were excited to chat to Gary and Lev as I passed the phone around. Ash and Aubs only managed to leave messages. I hope Israel managed to find the website.

Stan and I finished off with a swim. The grassy area north of the deep end has always been there ? the teachers used to sit there while we sat on the steps! There a few shady trees ? some of which we planted in our matric year on Tu Bishvat. The fence to the east towards the school buildings is fairly new. There is a club house with a bar in the corner which came in handy.

Agree we should be meeting more often and keep the threads going. Will give further reflections later. Thanks for all the spirit and encouragement around the planet.

It was a lekker party. It was worth my while to get up at 4 am to watch the live feed. Who the hell was that guy running around in shorts and procreating? I did not realize that there were any boers in the class 69.

It was really fun to watch I recognized a lot of the people but you all seemed to be busy with the OZ people most of the time. How come I never got kosher biltong in the mail I miss it a lot
