Lastly and just by the way ? if you don?t know this and have spent many long years in misery missing the kichel and gehakte herring your mothers used to make, kichel is just pasta with sugar and little poked fork holes in it. I use my pasta machine, cut triangles, poke the holes and splash out with sugar and then bake quickly at a reasonably low heat. Watch the over carefull casue they burn quickly. The herring ? nah, that?s not my forte.
